Celebrate the Passion

What compels you?  What sparks your energy?  What creates your bliss?

Passion.

We’re talking about the stuff that lights you up, that inspires and thrills you, the stuff that feeds your soul.

You’ve got a choice: meander though life never pursuing your highest potential, or find the spark that resides within, waiting for life to be breathed into it.

That spark is your passion.
This is your time.
Discover it.  Follow it.  Celebrate it.

Celebrate the Passion is about people creating their dreams for the joy of the experience.  It’s about the various things that ignite their hearts, how they direct their passions and uncover them.

Who We Are:

We, individually and as a collective of photographers, writers, designers and coaches, are passion hunters seeking to capture stories, photos and thoughts of people living what they love.  We hope to offer you a glimpse of passion for your own journey.

This is what it’s all about….Finding passionate people who are doing what they love and love what they do.  The one thing I’m finding, is people do not have individual passions, but rather a passion for life, and this is brought to everything they do.  I really want to uncover this idea.  I know if my own case, I spent the first 30 years void of passion.  When I discovered photography, I though I found my passion….The truth is, I discovered passion.  Take away photography, and the passion still remains.  It’s a wonderful transformation to experience, and one I would love to share with other.  This is why I would love to promote the arts, as they tend to be the most accessible way of experiencing passion.  More on this in the other sections.

So, the format will be as follows.

Feature Stories….

1. 1-2 people selected per month to do an in depth story on.
2. Will include both photography and video profile.
3. Written in story form with written interview.
4. Comments will be open, and we will encourage people to ask questions, and the subject to answer and interact….Maybe for the first week.

Profiles….

1. 1-2 people per week, in more of a Q&A format.
2. These will typically be photography only
3. While these are shorter Q&A, they will include a paragraph bio of the subject.  The bio will be provided by the subject if available.

Street Passions….

1. These are quick photos of people out and about, with a sentence or two of their passions.
2. We can also do video montages of people out and about.
3. Would like to do one set a week, which would include 5-10 people with photos.

Two things will happen here…Put on and promote workshops here in the studio, and promote interesting workshops and classes around town.

Workshops in studio….

1. Mindie has a number of workshops to offer people, and I will leave it up to her to develop these.
2. I want to bring in some people to do workshops….Photography, writing, painting, acting and whatever else.
3. I will put together a workshop to help artists develop their social media marketing, along with web development.  Being in photography, it’s a part of the business.  What I’ve discovered is there are a number of artists out there, along with non profits, who have not fully explored the opportunities available.  I would love to help them in this area.

Workshops around town….

1. We will encourage people to share info on wonderful workshops and classes available, and promote them in this section.
2. Need to further explore ways of doing this….Whether it making use of a calendar, or just doing a blog post for each.  Need to find a way for people to easily find what they are looking for.

This section will be dedicated to sharing info on shows around town…Art, music, wine, food and festivals.  Anything where people can experience people and their passions.

This section will rely heavily on contributions.

This is the section for Mindie and guest writers to do what they do best….Inspire people to discover passion, follow their bliss, and live brilliant lives.

I don’t know the rules to sharing posts from other blogs, but need to find out how that works, and share things here.
